Verizon Wireless to Launch Motorola Q9m on August 22nd (Updated)

Rumor site Boy Genius Report has revealed that Verizon will be launching the Motorola Q9m on August 22nd online and through business sales channels, with retail channels stocking the Windows Mobile 6 Standard device on the 29th.

The redesigned smartphone will be the first on Verizon to support V CAST Music as well as a Flash Lite based front-end for multimedia functions in the same manner as the now discontinued Ampd Q.

The feature set for the device includes a landscape QVGA display, redesigned QWERTY keyboard with new jogwheel and directional pad, dedicated music player key, 1.3 megapixel camera with video recorder, miniSD expansion slot, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, stereo speakers, voice dialing. and speakerphone.

Pricing for the device is $299.99 on a 2 year agreement and $399.99 on a 1 year contract before a $100 instant online discount. Retail price for the device is set at $469.99.

Update: The phone is now available as the MOTO Q Music 9m. The pricing has been adjusted to $349 on a new 2 year agreement with $100 instant discount, bringing the total to $249.99.
