T-Mobile has begun to officially support the Motorola Software Update (MSU) application. The popular application has been largely useless for American customers, as carriers must support it before a user can access the program with their Motorola phone.
Specifically, Motorola Software Update will now update the firmware on any T-Mobile RAZR (V3 or V3t) with the latest-approved software. All that is required is Windows XP and a mini-USB cable for connecting to the computer. MSU is a free download from Motorola’s support web site.
T-Mobile and Motorola strongly encourage all RAZR owners on T-Mobile to use MSU to update their phones to the latest firmware.
