T-Mobile has announced its own version of the BlackBerry Bold 9900, now available for business customers and launching for consumers on August 31st for $349.99 after new 2 year agreement and required data plan with new Classic plan before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $299.99.
The T-Mobile BlackBerry Bold 9900 features a 2.8 inch VGA touch display, the much praised hardware QWERTY keyboard, a 10.5mm thick bodyshell, 5.0 megapixel camera with 720p video capture with the same “zero shutter lag†tech found in the Torch as well as NFC and magnetometer for augmented reality applications. The 9900 wil also feature a Qualcomm sourced 1.2GHz processor with new GPU support and Wi-Fi N radio. It is not known whether T-Mobile will ship its variant with the NFC hardware enabled, as it is a founding partner in the ISIS mobile payment initiative.
