Sprint Unveils Two New Phones

While Sprint does not have a booth at CTIA, that did not stop them from officially announcing two new devices. The Samsung IP-830w finally confirms details of Sprint’s next Windows Mobile device. Carrying Windows Mobile 5.2 AKU 2.6 (despite the older pictures clearly showing the device running 2003SE), and touts a 520 MHz Intel PXA272 processor. In addition, the device will carry On Demand, and Phone as Modem (PAM) support.



The Sanyo 8400 also was announced today. The continuation of the extremely-popular 8000 series adds EV-DO and Bluetooth, as well as the Sprint Music Store (with 64 MB MicroSD card and stereo headset bundled). Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera, and QVGA display completes the new feature set.



Both phones are expected in-stores within the next 60 days.
