The courts may have struck down the FCC’s Comcast/BitTorrent ruling (though the FCC will still likely win by re-regulating the internet)… but there’s still a settlement out there stemming from the case.
Basically, the settlement was for customers damaged by being unable to use P2P traffic, and/or Lotus Notes during the filtering period. Comcast denied that they were blocking these services, and, well, that was illegal.
While you do have until August 14th, sign up now. You’ll get up to $16, depending on how many people claim the settlement.
