During their MWC keynote, Sony Ericsson surprised attendees with the official announcement of the Idou multimedia oriented smart device.
The device features a 3.5 inch WVGA resolution display in a 16:9 aspect ratio that is also a resistive touch display with haptic feedback. The operating system will be the first version of the Symbian Foundation operating system once it has been approved for release and deployment.
The rest of the feature set consists of an industry leading 12.1 megapixel CMOS camera with xenon flash and 30fps video recorder, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, proximity sensor and accelerometer, media player and TV output.
The phone is expected to be released in the second half of the year.
