Microsoft to Change Windows Mobile Naming Scheme?

Pocket PC enthusiast sites are reporting that Microsoft will be
changing the naming scheme of Windows Mobile based devices.
Instead of the familiar Pocket PC Phone Edition, those new
devices running on Windows Mobile 6 (Crossbow) will now be known as
Windows Mobile 6 Professional devices. For those new devices running
the Smartphone Edition, they will now be known as Windows Mobile 6
Standard devices. The last change concerns Pocket PC PDAs which will
now be known as Windows Mobile 6 Classic devices, in an attempt to
differentiate between devices with phones built in and standard PDA
devices. The change comes as a result of product positioning between
Vista and Windows Mobile.
