In a press release today, HTC has officially announced the launch of the Advantage hybrid device. As we first reported back in March, the Advantage is designed to compete with ultra-mobile PCs by featuring the following:
- Built-in GPS
- 802.11g WiFi
- Bluetooth 2.0
- 8 GB Hard Drive, 256 MB Flash ROM, 128 MB RAM
- miniSD with SDIO
- HTC VueFLO Nav (uses a built-in motion sensor to allow for easy scrolling)
- Magnetic attachable QWERTY keyboard
- 3 megapixel primary camera with VGA video calling camera
- VGA and TV-out
The device is now available from CompUSA for $899 unlocked or $849 unlocked from Amazon, ending speculation that AT&T would carry the phone as an online exclusive.
