Helio has launched a new model from Samsung called the Heat. Unlike the
Hero or KickFlip, this phone focuses more on style over functionality.
The slider form factor phone features an electrostatic touchpad that is
illuminated and disappears when not in use (similar to the GSM LG
Chocolate).
It also features built-in GPS support and Bluetooth with
A2DP, 138 MB internal memory (no expansion slot), media player, 1.3
megapixel camera with flash and video recording, access to Helio Music,
and support for both Google Maps and Helio Buddy Beacon applications.
The phone is
available now online and at Helio Stores and Authorized Dealers with a
retail price of $150 or $100 with a 2 year agreement and $50 instant
online discount.
