Helio has launched the Pantech Ocean. As we covered in depth
earlier this year, the Ocean features a dual sliding keypad setup, a
vertical slide numeric keypad for dialing, and a second horizontal
slide QWERTY keyboard for messaging.
The feature set is packed with a 2.4″ landscape QVGA display with a
262K color depth, Direct Search client for typing any search query
without needing a browser, Bluetooth with A2DP stereo audio support,
Helio Music support, GPS support, integrated messaging client (AOL
Mail, Earthlink Webmail, Yahoo! Mail, GMail,
Windows Live Mail/SMS/Windows Live/AIM/Yahoo IM) with
POP/IMAP/Outlook/Exchange support, hybrid HTML/WAP browser
with zoom feature for easier navigation, 200MB internal memory with
microSD expansion, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, and
complete contact list integration with messaging client address book to
notify of online contacts or close contacts with Buddy Beacon turned
on.
The phone has a retail price of $415 with a new two year agreement
bringing the price down to $295 and is avilable online and through
select Authorized Retailers..
