Once again, we continue our track record of breaking the news on every Sprint 3G phone. The Sanyo 7500 builds on the popular 7000 series, and will mirror the upcoming Sanyo 9000, but with some features removed to make it a more mid-range handset.
ARM9 CPU
EV-DO With Power Vision (MIDP 2.0, JavaScript, 3GPP2, H.264 Baseline, GPSOne)
176×220 Pixel Display
NetFront 3.1 Browser
IOTA, DOTA, FOTA
More details will be disclosed as the phone nears release. One interesting note is the usage of the ROHM encoder in the device. ROHM is known in Japan for their ability to provide TV interaction with cell phones (video input/output). The sudden shift from the 9000’s EPSON encoder to ROHM indicates Sanyo may be preparing in future phones to add a full TV capacity in their handsets, mirroring yet another high end feature of their Japanese phones on KDDI in their US counterparts.
