AT&T has confirmed and announced pricing and launch details for its first of five total Android device launches in the first half of the year in the Motorola Backflip. The Backflip features a reverse hinged QWERTY keyboard that rests on the backplate, hence the name.
Technical specifications consist of a 3.1 inch HVGA resolution touch display, quadband GSM/EDGE and triband HSPA support, Android 1.6 with MotoBLUR user interface, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, microSDHC expansion slot, 5.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, as well as speakerphone and Wi-Fi radio.
Pricing for the device is set at $199.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $100 mail-in rebate after purchase with a minumum qualifying data/messaging plan, bringing the total to $99.99.
