ASUS, a company more well known for providing high-end PC components
for computer enthusiasts has stepped up as an international
manufacturer of cellphones recently, and with the Aries have shown a
desire to break into the US market.
The Aries is powered by a 520 Mhz
XScale processor running Windows Mobile 6 Standard Edition, QWERTY
keyboard, front facing camera intended for video calls, and the
inclusion of tri-band UMTS support on the 850/1900/2100Mhz bands,
making this a good alternative for people wanting Crossbow and UMTS
support on Cingular. No release date has been announced, but we will
report on its launch when available.
